This isn’t an electric wheelchair. But it did cost more than $10,000 to the family of a young man named Angel Hernandez. Angel suffered from cerebral palsy. He needed a custom chair to fit him just right, which is why this Quickie Tilt-N-Space chair cost so much. Angel’s mom Sally told us that it took many months to get the chair, and that Medicare only reimbursed for $4,000 of the cost. By the time the chair arrived, Angel was able to use it only for four months. He passed away about a year ago. Sally was happy to see the chair donated to us in the hope that someone can use it.
