It’s rewarding when we receive a testimonial that reminds us why we do what we do. Jennifer Buckner, a disabled single mother, was able to receive a scooter from the medical lending closet we supply at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 2132 E 72nd St., Chicago. Here’s what she had to say:
“Thank you so much. I am so glad to have met Ms. Meisha Robinson, the director of the Free Medical Equipment program at St Philip Neri Church. She made this work out for me. I am a single mom with Multiple Sclerosis and my son is going away to college. He has been my right hand and helps me to travel about the city. I was very fearful not to be able to get around with out him. He is an amazing young man. With this scooter I am able to go pay our rent while he is gone, go to the store and get to doctors appointments on my own with help from Pace Transportation which will accommodate my new scooter as well.
Thank you and God Bless You,
Here are some photos of Ms. Buckner, her son, and the Go-Go going aboard the Pace transportation van. Do you have a story you want to share? Let us know!
